and i love the sound of the metal pack and the vintage custom packīut the lite version of SS is $99, and all that's stopping me from jumping on it is the machine gun sound in every one of those demos, it sounds so goofy! so what's up with that? but on just about every demo theyve got posted on there, every time they do a snare fill it's all machine gun sounding, despite their saying they got (no joke) ANTI-MACHINE GUN TECHNOLOGY lolĭo you find that you get that machine gun sound most of the time doing fills (on any drum, not just the snare) when using s slate drums?Ĭuz at this point, im pretty convinced the superior drums app takes care of that excellently. I really really dug the bonham kit demos on the steven slate site. Just sayin.im trying to figure out which robodrummer is gonna work for me, im deciding between superior, bfd and steven slate (didnt like the sound of addictive drums at all) I prefer Steven Slate Drums over all of the above.
In this way, you can get an unlimited groove source for Supreme Drums by using other groove library.Off topic but I have Superior 2.0, Steven Slate Drums, Addictive Drums, Battery 3, and have played with BFD. Translator is compatible with the major groove MIDI packs on the market, including Superior Drummer, EZdrummer, Additive Drums and UJAM Virtual Drummer. Translator will enable you to use the groove design for other drums in Supreme Drums, and the AI inside this tool will translate the MIDI into a format that Supreme Drum can play the same as on other drums library. Some of them are very huge in quantity and vast in details. As we know, many drum sample library often has its own groove resources. Translator is a unique feature in Supreme Drums.
This effect can make an effective change in sound on the fly without the need for vast professional knowledge to carry out the operation.
Here comes our fusion effects with groundbreaking AI technology, we are able to combine EQ, dynamic processing and transient designer into only three easy-to-understand controls. However, not everyone can gain enough mixing experience in just a few years, so we decided to develop something easier to use. This gives users great freedom, but also requires vast professional sound-mixing knowledge. Modern drum sample libraries usually have full-feature mixers with EQ, compression, limiter reverb, transient design and more effect types. This leaves more resources for other plugins when you need a drum in a huge project.
Also, the RAM usages are much smaller than sample libraries. Supreme Drums Orange has 27GB uncompressed original sample data, but after the modeling, it reduces to an amazingly small size – 800MB, which is only 3% of the sample size, while keeping the same sound quality. This will not only cost less resources, but also give more freedom on usages and sounds. Supreme Drums is made using a completely different approach known as Hybrid Modeling, which is a combination of modeling and sampling. Here's their press release with the details. Sound Magic has introduced Supreme Drums Orange, a hybrid modelled 9-piece drum kit.
